After our guide and driver will meet you at the sea port you will have a rich city tour with multiple photo-stops and inside visit to the most famous attractions in the down town: Peter and Paul Fortress
– is where Saint-Petersburg began. Peter and Paul Cathedral is a famous burial vault where you can see the tombs of Romanovs – the former Russian emperors.
On the tour you will also visit the Church on Spilled Blood, it is worth going inside to marvel at the stunning bejeweled interior. And not less famous St.-Isaac’s cathedral.
After city tour have a break for lunch in one of the local restaurants.
After all have a guided tour visiting the State Hermitage Museum.
Hermitage is one of the largest museums in the world. The main museum complex includes The Winter Palace, the Hermitage theatre, the Small, Large, and New Hermitage.
The number of halls is truly remarkable: there’s over 400 of them! Tourists from all over the world are eager to visit this unforgettable place.
The Hermitage Museum tour is also available for disabled travelers. The Hermitage Tour includes the European Art collection including the works by Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Michelangelo. The tour does not include the Impressionists’ collection. The Impressionists’ collection is located in a separate building called the General Staff building.
The second day you’ll spent out of the city in it’s beautiful countryside. The day starts with a lovely ride to the countryside residence of Peter the Great. Have a walk around the garden and enjoy the scenery of Grand cascade and it’s hidden fountains.
In the afternoon you’ll visit another satellite town Pushkin (the former Tsarskoe selo) and have a tour inside of Catherine’s Palace (includes visit to the Amber room).
Please notice: Each of the sites included in the tour description will be visited sometime during the day. Tour sequence may vary depending on overcrowding at venues, museums’ closing days and traffic conditions. The itinerary above is a sample only. Please note the visit to the Hermitage does not include the collection of impressionists and post-impressionists which moved to the new General Staff building. You can request it additionally when booking a private tour. The extra fee of $20US/person will apply. The visit takes 1,5 hour including standing in line to get into this museum.
